Public Works Department is here to assist you with a variety of needs, including street maintenance, city sewer systems, fleet management, and our green waste clean up week.
Here’s a quick guide to help you find the right resources:
The Public Works Inspections Department handles right-of-way permitting, oversees construction compliance with state and federal regulations, and performs line locating. ggammell@harrisvillecity.gov.
The Sanitary Sewer Department is responsible for the efficient, cost-effective, and safe collection of wastewater throughout Harrisville City. Our city maintains approximately 30 miles of sewer lines and around 600 sewer vaults. The system operates entirely on gravity, with no lift stations or pumps along the main sewer lines. Once wastewater leaves our system, it is directed to the Central Weber Sewer treatment plant. Our dedicated team of two employees works diligently to inspect and maintain the system, ensuring reliable service to all properties within the city limits. jbussio@harrisvillecity.gov.
The Storm Water Department is responsible for maintenance of detention basins and city-owned canals, oversees the storm water system, and clean water regulations. jsainsbury@harrisvillecity.gov.
The Streets & Streetlights Department provides updates on traffic and road conditions, addresses questions about city roadways, sidewalk replacement, snowplow operations, and streetlight repairs. whoskins@harrisvillecity.gov.
The Work Orders System is for reporting issues with street lights or your garbage cans or any other public works related issues.
