Community Events

Senior 55+ Luncheon

The Harrisville Senior 55+ Luncheon is a community event for all seniors aged 55 and older. It is designed to bring together the Harrisville City 55+ residents with a delicious potluck luncheon and various activities to promote health and community togetherness. The luncheon is held at noon monthly on the second Tuesday at the Harrisville Bi-Centennial Cabin located at 725 West Harrisville Road.

Easter Egg Hunt

The Harrisville City Easter Egg Hunt is held at the Harrisville City Main Park at 1350 N Hwy 89 on the Saturday before Easter annually. This event is for children aged 0-11 years of age. Children are divided into age groups for the Egg Hunt with a different start time for each age group. Residents are encouraged to bring their own baskets or bags.

Spring Clean Up Days

Every year Harrisville City offers the opportunity for its residents to clean up yards and neighborhoods throughout the city. This event is held once in the spring and once in the fall. Green Waste is the only item accepted to help reduce cost. Garbage/debris items will need to be taken to the Weber County Solid Waste Transfer Station directly. Proof of residency will be verified. The event will be held at the Harrisville Public Works building located at 708 West 1750 North. The days and times vary with the time of year and availability of dumpsters.

Movie in the Park

In partnership with surrounding communities, the Harrisville City Parks, Recreation, and Community Events department offer Movie in the Park for families to gather and enjoy a wholesome evening in the park. The event runs throughout the summer. Locations and movies are subject to availability.

Fall Festival

In partnership with Pioneer Elementary School, Harrisville City holds an annual Fall Festival for families of all sizes and ages. There is a carnival run by the 6th Grade classes of Pioneer Elementary, a local businesses trunk-or-treat, along with other events to bring the community and city partners together for a night filled with fun and fireworks. Costumes optional.

Shop with a Hero

In partnership with other Heroes in the surrounding area, the Harrisville City Police Department provides a wonderful service for families which cannot afford to have Christmas in their homes. With this event, the Harrisville PD and other Heroes nominate one or more children from their community to help them with their Christmas shopping. Donations from the communities are the reason this event is available. All donations ensure a child, along with their family members, have a wonderful unique Christmas. The more donations we receive, the more children/families they can help.

Santa at the Cabin

Santa at the Cabin is an event for all. It begins with a parade where Santa can be spotted waving to the children while he is escorted through the city by the Harrisville Police Department and others. Santa stops at the Harrisville Cabin after the parade to listen to the children’s wishes for Christmas. Donuts and hot cocoa are present along with candy canes.

Harrisville Giving Tree

The Harrisville Giving Tree is an event designed to assist select families in Harrisville who need a little help to provide a “Christmas Miracle” for their family. Christmas Trees are placed at the Harrisville Walmart and Harrisville City Hall entrances for members of the community to purchase items for the selected families. All items are brought to the city offices to distribute in plenty of time for Christmas.
