Important 2025 Dates
The following dates apply to the 2025 Municipal Elections for Utah.
- Primary Election Day – August 12, 2025
- General Election Day – November 4, 2025
- Candidate filing dates – June 2 – 6 (Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) per Utah State Code sections 20A-9-203(3)(a)(i) and 10-3-301(3)(b)(i).
- The cost to file is $25.00.
- If interested in running for one of the offices listed above, all candidacy filling forms can be found in the candidacy guide below. Reminder: ALL FORMS MUST be signed in front of an Election Officier at the Harrisville City Offices.
Key information about our Municipal Election:
- Held in odd numbered years
- Mayor and Council terms are for four years
- One (1) Mayoral Seat will be open in 2025
- Two (2) Council seats will be open in 2025.
- Declaration period is Monday – Friday, June 2 – 6 (per Utah Code – see links with more information above). Packets with candidate information will be available for pickup in May at the City Recorder’s office at City Hall, 363 W Independence Blvd., Harrisville, UT 84404.
- The General Election will be held by mail in November 2025.
- The election is non-partisan (a candidate is not nominated by a party).
- Candidates are at-large: elected by all voters in Harrisville City, not just one district or precinct.
- In person voting will be held at the Weber Center (2380 Washington Blvd) October 28, 29, 30, and 31 from 12:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. and on Election Day, November 4, 2025 from 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.
- Ballot Drop Boxes are conveniently located at every city office, county library, in the Weber Center parking lot and on the campus of Weber State University. Drop boxes are open 24 hours a day and until 8:00 P.M. on Election Day.

October 7, 2025 – Financial Disclosure Filing*
*Candidates are listed in no particular order. Financial Disclosure are due October 7, 2025, by 5pm to the city recorder. Reporting period(s) for this financial disclosure is January 1, 2025 – October 2, 2025 (candidates with no primary) OR August 1, 2025 – October 2, 2025 (candidates who won primary).

Primary Election Financial Disclosures
City Council Member – 4 year term*
*Candidates are listed in no particular order. Primary Financial Disclosures are due August 5, 2025 by 5pm to the City Recorder. Failure to timely file a financial disclosure, the candidate will be disqualified and may be imposed a $50 fine. (UCA §10-3-208)
Primary Election financial statements are due from candidates who are eliminated in the primary election by September 11, 2025. The following were eliminated in the Primary Election with final financial statements linked to their name.
